“Wisdom is the
principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get
understanding.”(Proverbs 4:7)
Wisdom is one of
the seven independent manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the life of one that
has received the fullness of the Spirit. It can be defined as a divine insight
into the plans and purposes of God. It can also be defined as the insight of
knowledge and the controlling power of insight.
Wisdom is insight
into reality (truth), foresight into the future. When wisdom resides in you, it
causes you to see what others can’t see, thereby, making you a success in life.
It is God’s desire that you succeed; He told Abraham “…I will bless thee, and
make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing”
(Genesis 12:2), sadly, a lot of people aren’t living up to that dream.
The reason for
failure in life is the lack of wisdom, yet in Colossians 2:2-3, the Bible
states that in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The
Greek word translated ‘wisdom’ in that verse is ‘sophia’
which means insight into reality; the collective understanding of all things;
knowing beyond what can be seen, beyond the description of the senses.
Also, 1
Corinthians 1:30 says “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto
us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption…”
Christ has been made unto you wisdom. Be conscious and take advantage of that
wisdom that God has deposited in you. You have been called to be a blessing,
let that wisdom work in and through you to bless your world. Remember the Lord
has declared this month as our month of insight; that means you will walk in uncanny
wisdom every day and in every situation.
